i would like to know if it is possible to drain and add new fork oil on my 82 GL1100 Interstate WITHOUT having to remove the forks?
i have heard that this can be done using the airline at the top of the forks.
i also see a small bolt about a 8mm at the bottom of each fork, would this be the drain plugs for it ?
any help would be great

Yes, you can drain the forks using the drain bolt that is accessed at the bottom of the forks once the axle is removed. Once you're sure it is completely drained (pump forks up and down), you can then fill it using the air fitting at the top. It is much harder to verify that you filled it with exactly the correct amount of fluid this way, but it can be done.
