Painting front fender 82 gl1100

Post by washandy98664 » Sun Jul 14, 2013 1:07 pm

Wondering if anyone has been able to paint their front plastic fender with good results??
Looking at how flexible it is i am thinking it will just crack and flake off......
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

If you are painting a part that has a tendency to move a bit, you can get some flex additive to add to the paint.

I just painted all my plastic parts with krylon paint from walmart. I do not know how to post pics on this site--but it all came out nice.
If you paint wait at least six weeks before putting any wax on it. If you wax it too soon it will not set the paint and laying anything on it makes a mark on the piece. do not ask me how I know this.

i have had no problem with any flaking or any other problem on the fenders or any parts.
