The tach is cable driven from the fuel pump area. It's the first suspect...
By the way...skip Nebraska and go straight up to South Dakota.
I "survived" in Nebraska for 10 years....Not a whole lot to say about it.
If you must go there...don't forget to set your watch back....20 years.

Hey hey hey, let's be nice about Nebraska. It's the only state you can get enough snow to build a snowman and then get record highs in the 90's all in the same week, that's how my spring went twice this year. Iowa is the place to avoid, may want to just come up Il then jump across MN to get to SD.

Figure Id hear more about the corn feed women in Nebraska than the weather. And hell Sheldon got a opinion on everything. I found a 83 Aspencade couple of weeks back the carbs had caught fire not real hot but did come with a extra set of carbs and alot of the chrome mine was missing,But being the digital dash no cable so fleabay the deal. Looks like 11 bucks. Wont tear into it till I get the cable but input on changing it out ??? No little plastic gear or other part that can break? Or most likely just the cable ?? Any body need any 83 parts ??
