Fairing removeal

Is there info on removing the on my 1982 GL1100I I'm trying to change out the speedometer the old one went bad I took the counter weight off all I can see is a lot of wires?
I changed the tachometer out last year with out taking the fairing off I could really uses some of your expert help.

YOu can pull the gauge pod w/o removing anything except the nuts that hold it in place, the cables, wires and the choke. There are two nuts on the bottom one on each side, hard to see 10mm's but you can get a wrench on them to loosen and the pod just lifts up..unplug the electrical and it's free.

this is for 80-83 but not the digital gauges
HAD LOTS OF GOLDWING 75-83
NOW INTO 1500'S..RIDING A 1998 SE
