When you synchronize carbs does only effect low end idle or does it effect entire rpm range?

Thanks for the quick reply. Idles fine, have issues between 3500 and 4000 rpm when roll back throttle it wants to miss. When you let of throttle she smooths out. I read somewhere that this could be slide problem.

Slides sticking or partially clogged jets..both require removing carbs and a cleaning if not rebuild..I guess you could try some sea foam run a tank or two through and see if that cleans it out.

Buffing the slides may help too if they look scuffed but no sandpaper just jewelers cloth or very fine steel wool used very lightly.

I have been running seafoam in tank per direction and on 3rd tank full now, but has not helped to much so far. I do not think that the guy who owned it before me ever did any work on it so I am trying to work out all the issues it has.

The entire range, but most noticeable in the lower range.
If the slides don't move when they're supposed to, you'll run lean on throttle application.
Seafoam won't affect the slide operation.

Take air box lid off remove air filter start bike up..use a mirror on a stick put it down into the air box watch the slides as you crank the throttle are they moving smoothly and immediately up and down???
Might need a flashlight to watch???
If they do..then on to clogged jets and carb rebuild or at least cleaning.
