Carb tubes

Postby washandy98664 » Mon Aug 26, 2013 12:17 am

Have been going through everything on this bike the past few months.
Started it back up after having the carbs off to clean up some of the crud on the outside to just get them looking better, as they were performing pretty good before I took them off.
As soon as it fired up started to get gas coming out of the tube from 3 to 1. After a minute of running it got really bad.
Where can I get the O-Rings that go over these tubes, ( might as well do both when I have it apart)
Thanks All . The help here has been great for all of my needs.
Andy

This is a 1982 gl1100 I
These are the fuel supply tubes that go between carb 3 to carb1, the larger of the 2 tubes.
I assume I will have to do the o-rings on the 2 smaller tubes as well
It is leaking at carb 3. They have o-rings on them.
These are the 2 sets of tubes that connect the carbs in pairs.
I am trying to find where I can purchase these o-rings.

new orings are a good start but be sure to get the tubes pressed all the way in to place as well

If you are talking about the metal tubes that go between the carbs it has to be from 4-3 or 2-1 not 3-1..if so they come in a gasket set for the 1100's 001 GASKET SET 16010-463-004 $30??

PS be very careful with those tubes the ends tend to break off if you tilt them at all during removal.

The fuel connection from one bank to the other is through the manifold, not through tubes.

1-3, 2-4 (each bank) is through the tubes in question.

Yep, no tubes for fuel between carbs as part of the plenum but there are two tubes between the carbs 4-3 an 1-2 one larger than the other with o rings are each end..

parts 9 and 10 here..

Found this brilliant technical drawing in another thread!
