Weird fuse 1983 aspencade

Postby pastor_jordan » Tue Aug 27, 2013 7:47 pm

Ok. So yesterday I had somebody replace a turn signal for me while I was busy to make a long story short He put in a single pole bulb instead of a dual I left work made it about a quarter mile and the bike died. After an hour trying to figure out what happend I found he bulb. I have a blown fuse that I don't know what it is. Looks like a dog bone. I slid in a 30 amp fuse behind the break to try to get me home but my dash just went crazy. Have no clue. What it is or where to get it went to oriley auto parts and they had one much bigger any help would be great. Still a very newbie goldwing guy

It is a "dog bone fuse"....there's usually a spare in the lid.WE normally replace them with a inline fuse holder.

Have a look at this post on how to replace with an inline fuse holder.
