Sounds like maybe you should look around for a manual before going any further.There are free downloads available.There is a plug on the left rear side(top) of the motor that will reveal the timing marks on the flywheel as well as timing marks on the crank pulley at the front of the motor.
If I'da known it would last this long,I'da taken better care of it.

William I was surfing through a timing belt change on Youtube and this is how they find TDC on a automobile repair...Perhaps you can use this technique too, I don't know but it seems to me that it would work...
