Rear bearing

Postby mcrowdus » Sat Sep 07, 2013 7:37 pm

Ok my question is I have a 1982 gl1100 aspencade that I changed the rear bearing out and it seems that one of the bearing on the final drive side just dropped in the rim sleeve I though I would have to press it in know it seems that I can rock the tire from side to side did I get the wrong bearing for it or does that side just pop in it also seems that I can take the bearing with my finger and move it around what do I need to do to fix this problem any help would be helpful

It should definitely not just "drop in" or be able to moved around. It should be a very tight fit, and you need to press it in.

Keep in mind, the two bearings that go into the rear wheel on the 1100 are not the same size.
