Radiator leak

Post by Five » Thu Apr 29, 2010 10:51 pm

Only when cold. Leaking from the left bottom corner (somewhere), dripping from the mount. Once warmed up, leaking stops. Starting this afternoon at about 70 degrees, no leak...I've got a used radiator coming to swap out, but I guessing a small crack that self heals as the metal expands with heat...far fetched, but I've seen stranger.

I'd guess the same...you could try one of the "Barr stop leak" type products, but I'm not really a fan of those, as they tend to reduce the size of an already tiny core. It would work as a stopgap fix until your new radiator arrives, I suppose.

Kinda worried about that stuff and the waterpump too. I'm just gonna ride it and keep water and a funnel in the saddlebag
