Float level

When the float level is correct, the accelerator pump should pump fuel into the throat of all 4 carbs., correct?

Thats kinda what I was thinking too. It's the only 1 pumping some up. I just wasn't sure, thought I would cast a line out and dbl. check. My 750 was supposed to but they were in a straight line and pump was separate from carb. body.

the accelerator pump is located in the #3 float bowl and it does feed ALL 4 carbs. that is what the small transfer tubes are for (the large tubes transfer fuel to the float valves). there are ports in the plenum that connect the left and right side carbs. also the function of the accelerator pump is independent of "correct" float level setting. as long as there is enough fuel in the #3 bowl.

Unfortunately I no longer have a set of the carbs to double check.
I do recall that there is a tiny brass nipple at the inlet of each carb. They are in fact coupled together and ported to the vacuum tap going to the vacuum advance canister.
I truly don't recall a 3rd fuel port for a combined accelerator pump to each carb.

Well now....the guy has 2 conflicting answers.. :|
Can anybody break the tie.??
