Removing the Fenders
I am need to remove the fenders to prep them for painting. My question is, it looks like the rear fender is connected to a bolt that is holding the rear shock on at the top. how is the best, or correct way to do this? In other words, How do ya get the fenders off?

Re: Removing the Fenders
There is an air valve on the shocks. Do I need to let the air out of the shocks before I try to remove the top bolt that holds the fender and shock in place?

Re: Removing the Fenders
No on releasing air but again I don't think the shocks have to come off the bolt that holds the fender is not the one that holds the shocks in place..if I remember correctly the shock mount is a welded stud on the frame.

Re: Removing the Fenders
That's right, I removed the fender on my 1100 without ever touching the shocks.
