windshield/fairing

Postby JDMAG » Sat Sep 28, 2013 12:52 pm

I have 2 or 3 loose mounting bolts on the windshield. I am also needing to remove it to paint in. How doers one get to the nuts inside the fairing that hold the wind shield on? I pulled the speakers out, and was not able to get any where. Pulled one of the turn signals off and cant get to them either. :)

Remove both speakers from inside the fairing. Unscrew the bolts on the outside along bottom of windshield. Catch the nuts from the inside of the fairing where the speakers hide those nuts. I believe you have to remove the mirrors also. Putting back on I use a glue to hold those little nuts from falling out the next time.

The toggle switch -- someone did a do it youself something or other to your bike. Trace the wires and see where they go.
