'83 Aspencade GL1100AD Shockers

Please could someone tell me how much/& what type of oil ? ,
I need to use for the shock absorbers,
as I am fitting new oil seals! plus any hints or tips,

Front shocks on a 1983 take 270cc (9.1 oz) of ATF, according to the swervice manual. Some people have tried different weights of oil to get a softer or firmer ride.

Rear shocks, if they are OEM, take 365cc (12.5 oz) of ATF.

Just got to Walmart and buy the cheap ATF and fill the front with 9.1 and the rears with 12.5 oz
