'83 Interstate problems

I have recently rescued an 83 Interstate which has been stood up for 10 years. After taking the carbs apart several times it now runs although missing on 1 cylinder, maybe running rich? suggestions would be good. Also the indicators, horn and tail lights have stopped working and while we are here when all the fuses are in the battery is draining, not charging enough. Help

Well the low hanging fruit is the indicators, taillight and horn - I believe they all run off the same fuse.

Your following me. Have an 83 Intersate that sat for 19 years. Might want to start with a compression check first then move to ignition. If you are down one cylinder. I assume the carbs have been cleaned and the float height checked. I had to clean mine twice by soaking them in boiling water then using brake cleaner. When you put them back together did you do a Bench Sync? Trust me one carb just a little off will give you that problem. The compression issue could be from a frozen ring or valve. If you do have it running, Sea Foam in the fuel system might help it along. Mine took running it for a total of four hours before it settled down. if all of this checks good so far hen move to plugs possible plug wire. Doubt the coils would be bad since they support two of the cylinders each.

Ijust rebuilt my carbs on my 83 and it was running rough on no 4 took it all out again and the float needle was stuck and not opening the float put a new one in anf it fine and oh boy does it go like s--t off a shovel now . The turn signals and horn and tail lights are not on the same fuse your horn turn signals and stop light are run off of a 15 amp and your turn cancel and tail lights run off of a10 amp check all the wires clean every connector and check all grounds as an 82 im rebuilding had a light problem and checking all wires fixed this . Godd luck getting it running right there a dream to ride and it might take a while to get that smile off your face after the first couple of rides
