I recently bought a 1983 Goldwing GL1100I and it has no brakes. I ordered the M/C repack kits and new pads. I was removing the old pads today and found the bleeder valve was sheared off. This explains why the front right brake cylinder was dry. Well i was tapping what remained of the bleeder screw and my tap snapped off. Not good, and i started looking for a replacement housing and haven't had much luck. Any suggestions??

I recently had the bleeder screw brake off too. No matter what I did, I coudn't get it to budge. Bottom line - I ended getting a new one from the local scrap yard, cost about $30. Also, I advertized on a couple of the forums, including this one and had more than one offer to sell me one. I bought local because there wasn't much difference in the price. I don't think you'll have a big problem finding a used replacement, hopefully quickly and at a reasonable price.
Same thing happened to me. You could take the caliper to a machine shop to see if they can get the stub out. Best bet is to buy another one. Ebay was full of them when I was looking. The set I bought was off of a CB650 (same caliper)
