Do you replace all the plates or just the friction plates when your clutch starts slipping?

Replace the friction plates , they wear out , and check the plain plates for true flatness. Change any plain plates if warped or out of true. Most clutch kits only contain the friction plates anyway.
Just my way of doing things - hope it helps.
The only silly question is the one you don`t ask. Everything else is game.

I am not the worlds expert on clutches but common sense should prevail.

Might as well replace the springs while your at it. They are cheap and may be worn.
