Mounting it woulb be the hardest part I would say as it's quite a bit bigger. The wiring won't be plug and play, but should be fairly strait forward.
If I'da known it would last this long,I'da taken better care of it.

I had a photo of it but I cannot find it,,I did however find a wiring drawing I took notes of when I mounted mine,, it might help....I also forgot what year it was ,,check the search engine for this, it may have the year for it..
I also think most solenoids will work....It seems I cut off some of the base plate to make it smaller..

I remember fitting it rather quickly, if you look where the other solenoid is mounted remove the rubber housing thing it stays in, bend the tabs up flush and fit the ford one in place,,I used zip ties to hold it in place,, I also covered the whole unit with zip lock type bags after wiring it together and stuck it in the cavity there...It worked well for a long time never failed I just changed it out with Ricks for some reason.. Oh I remember ricks had the fuse in place, and I rewired everything.. the ford solenoid is much larger than the stock one is,,, :D I took notes because I was a lost puppy with no instuctions and I finally got someone who knew and took notes...
