I bought some grips to replace the old one. I found that the new one are a different size. Is this normal in replacing your grips or are we going for the same look as the old one. I have never done this project so I have no ideal what too expect. here are some picture too show what I am talking about :::

Wings. Short for Goldwings. He's saying that Goldwings have longer grips than most motorcycles, so standard grips (like the ones you show in the picture) are too short, and won't fit.

I bought the ISO also and like them a lot. I have seen ones that will fit your Goldwing in that style when I was looking for new grips. I would not modify the bike to to fit the grips, I would buy grips that fit the bike just my opinion.

My 82 I am planning to redrill the locating holes and move the controls outward and using shorter throttle sleeve so I can mount a smaller grip that I really like.
