rear wheel removal

Postby triketrash » Tue Mar 04, 2014 8:43 pm

Hi Guys- I'm not sure how well this comes through on the photos. I'm about to remove the rear wheel to change out the rear tire and check the final drive while I'm at it. On Windadmin's "how to" for doing this, he describes removing the rear portion of the fender to allow the wheel to roll out the back of the bike. I don't see any split in my fender to let this happen. Is there some other trick to get the wheel off if you have the one piece fender?

A quick phone call from Vince to ask me this question and he is all sorted out, I guess he needed to know tonight. Must be itching to ride soon 8-)

Ya- thanks for that Todd- I couldn't see the split in the fender under the crossmember. Will have a look today. Gotta get this thing dialed in while the weather is still in the tank so I can ride when the sun starts to shine:)
