'83 GL1100 turn signal short

Last summer I bought a "83 GL1100 and right away installed a HID headlight and LED aux lights and I love them, you can definitely see me coming. Just recently when I switch the turn signal to the right, both aux lights and headlight goes out and the blinker continues to blink. I don't think it is the new lights because I have tried disconnecting them and still have the problem. Left turn is fine?? Can't find any bad wires?? Any thoughts?

I suspect a bad ground....
I would start by attaching a wire to the ground lug of the battery...

Move the "new" ground to the accessory lamp wire ground....temporarily touch it there and test
Same thing for the HID connection....
Green is ground on the wing...Not light green or green with a color stripe,just Green.

This will bypass there individual grounds to determine which one may be bad.....

Most common is that the lighting circuit ground is broken and now is using the park filament in the turn signal as it's path to ground.

One more thing...because I don't know exactly how or where the wires were attached for the new lights...
Be aware that the front turn signal has a "park" lamp and it is turned off when the turn signal is operating.
If your "aux" lamp is tied into the "park" filament circuit,it will go off when operating the turn signal.....

I have the same problem and a Honda mechanic traced it to the auto canceling ing on the steering stem. So I need to take the fairing off to get to the self canceled.
