Anyone have a preference as to a quality top end kit.
One that has good quality head gaskets and the rest for a reasonable amount of money.
Thanks in advance.

Honestly, when it comes to head gaskets, I wouldn't use anything other than OEM. I've heard nothing but bad reports of people who have tried aftermarket head gaskets on these bikes.

I have a brand new set of Honda OEM head gaskets that I got from the dealer a few months back and no longer need for an 1100. They are still in the Honda package. PM if interested, I will let them go for a good deal.
As for the other gaskets, Vesrah has good stuff and is what I used.

I used The "Athena" top end kit I bought at bike bandit. About $110.
They guarantee it to be as good as OEM or better.
Has all the gaskets you will need - except cam seals. The kit has valve stem seals, head gaskets , thermostat gasket and so on.
I redid my head gaskets with this kit and have had no issues for 6000 miles. So have a couple of other members on this list- hopefully they will chime in.
One shouldn't be so quick to recommend OEM, without hands on use first. Regards, Johnyy

Maybe I should restate it this way: Every instance I have heard of head gaskets leaking after being replaced have been utilizing aftermarket gaskets. Not to say all aftermarket gaskets are bad, but some are. OEM are not.
