Tack gl1100

Is there a piece that's on or in back of the tack that may have fallen out wile I had it up side down ? I hooked cable back up and now it don't work ? I can't find any manuals on the tack in my books

My first thought is that you may not have tightened up the tach cable to the back of the tach all the way. If you are sure it is properly tightened then it is time to undo the cable and see if it is actually spinning, does it protrude enough to engage the tach head? With the tach removed again , can you make it read buy spinning the drive with a drill ( in reverse) or even with your fingers and a small screw driver? Let us know what you find .there will be others along with some more ideas for you soon
