Front Fork Suspension

Postby FallenHeavens » Wed May 07, 2014 12:53 am

I want to replace the front fork suspension with a more standard setup instead of the air suspension in front. I currently just have the stock setup in front and rear, and I've found a replacement rear suspension for about $260 [on sale], but I'm not finding replacement front suspension anywhere online unfortunately. Does anyone have any links for a new suspension for the front that's not the air suspension?

Are you wanting to replace the fork springs? "Suspension" covers a multitude of parts.

If I were to replace the front fork springs would I be using the air suspension at all? I just want to get that air suspension gone. I really don't like the feel of the air suspension, and my past experiences with air suspension haven't been all that great. They're damned expensive to fix and get serviced. Also this air compressor is something I'd really like to just remove and be done with.

If you install a set of Progressive Suspension springs up front you do not have to add air to the forks, you can if you want but most of us find it is not needed.
You can find the springs on Amazon .com for less than $100. Look for "Progressive Suspension springs # 11-1102" . Those are the correct ones for the 1100. 8-)
