Replacing Coils on an GL1100

Postby Thorgot » Wed May 07, 2014 8:41 pm

Is there a "how to" or another thread that describes how to replace the coils on a GL1100?
I am planning to use Accel coils. Has anyone used that brand? Any tips or tricks I should be aware of?
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Are you using the Neon coils, or the motorcycle specific Accel coils?

Neon coils info here:

I used Willwilly's instructions, starting on page 14, and used a MSD Neon coil. Quite pleased with the results. New wires and ends too.
