Chrome sides

Postby jhbates2000 » Thu May 08, 2014 7:15 am

Ok here is my issue...I really like these chrome side covers. My birthday is this saturday and as a birthday present my wife and kids are have my wing painted for me. I would like to find a set of cover for mine. Does anyone know where I may be able to get a set. I have been given clearance to get some of the things I want for " Dirty Harry" my wing (the wife named him)...Help me out here, Thanks

Some say those are not good for the engine as they trap heat..maybe just use them in the winter???

I live in the frozen North. So take this comment with that in mind... I have them on my Wing, I've never had any overheating problems.

And I think the Wing looks goofy without them...

The bad part is you often need a flashlight to see your oil window.

I have a set sitting in the garage.
One side does not have one of the mounting straps but you could make one.
Send me an offer and pay the postage From Ohio and it will be yours. Or ride over and pick it up- not that far from you.
I am 20 miles north of Columbus and 1/2 mile off I-71.

I have them on mine too, never had any issues with heat even on the 100+ days. As far as checking oil, I have a dipstick installed, better than the window.

These have been sitting in the garage and are no longer show quality.
What is in the pics are all that I have for them. I think the one side needs a bracket but I really do not remember. Anyone interested give me a pm and an offer plus the actual shipping.
