Had so much fun with putting the valve guide seals on .........Now I get to take the heads off and replace a bent valve.
Managed to do this on #2 intake when I was adjusting the valves after the seals were on.
Thought I may as well do the full top end since I have to take 1 side off.
Was not able to determine if I had solved my smoking problems at start up as it ran like crap so it was shot off rather quickly.
Did the compression check and found the dead cylinder.
What I had were: 1 had 150, 3 had 148, 2 had 0 , 4 had about 148 as well.
Seems like the others are fine but I figured since there is a full top end kit do both side.
Just seems like this bike is unhappy with me......
My other goldwing ( 1985 LTD ) runs like a champ.
The PO took reasonable care of this one.
I'm thinking from now on that I will let some other guy buy the project bike......
