swing arm- bearings or bushings?

Postby goldminerusa » Mon May 26, 2014 8:36 am

Hello all, have a swing arm question. Did mother honda install bushings or ball bearings in the `80-`83 1100`s? I ask because an Ebay seller is offering greaseable ball bearings/seals/covers kit for sale. My manual shows bushings. Has a ball bearing kit been introduced as a bushing replacement? Good idea, better load distribution and ease of maintenance.

I can only go by what I am seeing in the Clymer Manual for these years. It shows that the bearing assembly is actually needle/roller bearings kept in place with a bushing and pivot collar.
