Been out running the bike for 2 days now and twice it died. Looking at the fuel filter it is empty. The first time this happened I got off the bike and called home and as I was watching the filter it suddenly filled. Today it died and same thing, no gas at filter.I removed the fuel line at the petcock and had full flow fuel there. I replaced that line and the filter filled.
Could there be some sort of back pressure from the pump? Is this an indication of the pump having issues?
New lines filter and petcock. Good used cap installed.

Next time it dies, try removing the gas cap and see if there is vacuum there. If there is, chances are you will be able to restart immediately. If that's the case, then the problem is a clogged vent in the gas cap.

Did 240 miles this weekend and fuel stopped flowing 4 times. I carried some fuel line and a nut driver with me and was able to blow air back into the tank and then it would flow. Its definitely not the cap,I loosened it just in case. It must be a clogged pick up. I'm going to pull the assembly this week and see whats what. Going to search right now t see if there are any guides here for that.
