Anti-freeze leak after removing carbs

Postby motojo » Tue Jun 24, 2014 7:20 am

Looking for a little advice on this situation. 81 GL1100 that I have been rehabbing. I wrestled the carbs out of her last night maybe just a little to hard. After getting them set aside I noticed this small puddle of anti-freeze under the water pipe. It seems like the pipes must be sealed on the ends with orings or such and I can get a little axial play in the tube. Is this going to be a permanent leak site it after I get the carbs fixed up. How should I proceed?

And lubricate them with vaseline before inserting them. The O-rings get hard with heat, so as soon as that coolant tube is bumped, they no longer seal properly. New O-rings will fix it.
