1982 Aspencade

Postby echinus1988 » Mon Jul 28, 2014 12:01 am

Well, I just added another bike to my growing inventory. I'm riding my 1981 Goldwing but I am now starting work on a 1982 Aspencade.

My problem, while I am waiting on Randakk to return I started looking at the carbs. I found that the person before me removed those plastic pieces inside the slide compartment of the carbs. This is the little plastic piece that sticks out and helps to align the slide. It screws in on the top. It's number one if you look at the breakdown of the carburetor. Three of these are missing. I am hoping to find them locally but would anyone have any extras from a spare set of carbs they would be willing to part with for a reasonable part. I can find them in the carb gasket kit for $35 but don't need all the gaskets, only that hard plastic piece.

Unfortunately the guy who worked on it wasn't very smart and didn't keep these pieces.

Any help is appreciated. Thank you.
Steve

I should be clearer.

The #1 refers to the parts page for carburetor components #1. The part numbered 1 and 18 are what is missing in 3 of my carbs. The only way to get those two parts is to buy a complete seal set. Since I am buying my carb rebuild from Randakk I don't need all the seals.

SOrry I wasn't clear before. I only need those two parts for 3 of my carbs thanks to the dummy that took them apart and removed them.
