clutch lever

just a quick question .im changing my clutch lever soon what are the two wires going into the lever area?

There for the neutral safety switch.When switched,it allows the bike to crank when in gear.
Do not short them together other than for testing.They can be left unhooked if necessary and still start if the neutral lamp is on.
Than switch should show continuity only when the clutch lever is pulled all the way to the grip.
