Front forks slowly loosing pressure

Postby NEDan » Mon Aug 18, 2014 7:55 am

Hi all
It seems over a weeks time my front forls will loose pressure. But not completely.
This would be an indication of what?
Any help appreciated.
Dan

bad forks seals, crossover tube leaking or the shrader valve leaking. Any oil on the fork tubes? fill them up and use some soapy water on the valves and crossover tube..fork tubes will show oil if leaking from there..if that's it replace seals AND bushings!! Check tubes for pitting if you have any JB weld, buff smooth and they should be good to use.

Thanks for the quick reply,
The forks are dry (ie not obviously leaking from anywhere). Will check connections with soapy spray and change out the schrader valve.

Mine were down to leaky schraeder valves. 50 cents in new valve cores at the local auto store fixed it.
