radio and speakers

Postby JDMAG » Sat Sep 20, 2014 2:24 pm

I'm still restoring/waiting on parts from the painter, for 1980 GL1100I, but I can't remember how I removed the radio and speakers. I can't remember how to re install it, what connects it to the bike, any help is appreciated, my manual on CD from eBay isn't working for some reason.
Thanks

If it came out of the fairing the speakers attach by 4 gold wing nuts from inside the turn signal opening.
The radio tuner goes in the right glove compartment and connects on the left side.

With not much info from you it is hard to say what radio you have.

That is the vetter fairing. I am not familiar with it so someone else may chime in.
I know the Honda fairing and the Clarion radios.
Good luck.

Craigvetter.com has instructions for mounting the radio caddy. I typed in Vetter radio installation instructions and found it that way. Hope that helps.

That got me what I needed. I found out where the brackets went.
