Hi Guys
Just wondering how you adjust the idle mixture on the 82 GL 1100?

Most just set the idle jets to the factory recommendations and call it good.
That's the starting point.
This is the last step after a proper carb sync.
In turn,each idle jet should be turned out until there is a 50 rpm drop and then turned back in till it comes back up.
It's called the "idle down" adjustment.
Escentially,your maxing out the idle fuel supply to just before the cylinder gets more fuel than it can completly burn...the drop in rpm.
This is the proper mixture for the 800-1100 rpm range.

FYI your are adjusting gas not air and the adjustors are hard to get to under the carb bowls best way is to get one one of these.
