Timing Belt Replacement DIY???

Postby CWJ73 » Sun Oct 19, 2014 10:07 pm

I am hoping that I am not going crazy or anything (it is possible, you should see the rest of my family :D) but I can't seem to find the DIY for Replacing/Changing the Timing Belts on a GL1100. I am certain that I read a DYI for this posted by WingAdmin in the DYI section but it is not there now. If anyone could help me out with locating it that would be great.

On a somewhat related note, I used to have photos posted to the forum and a photo as my avatar which no longer appear... strange...

I found this one: viewtopic.php?f=14&t=9774
It is for a 1500, but most instructions will apply to yours.

This thread is mostly about GL1200's and has a video linked in it... again, the differences between an 1100 and a 1200 are small.

Someone else posted this link in an earlier thread: http://www.ngwclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3544
It takes you to a different site, but the information looks solid.
I am wrong as often as I am right concerning what is wrong with someone else' motorcycle without having seen the machine in person. Guessing with limited information, as to the source of the trouble, is sketchy at best.

That was probably me. NGW is good site for How To's too, as they are here too. If you can't find what you want here NGW should be your next stop.
