Aspencade air compressor gauge

Post by ram11397 » Mon Nov 10, 2014 9:55 pm

Maybe I am not wording it right couldn't find my answer in search

OK when you use the gauge to fill the air in the shocks rear first then front i.e. It says 14 lb when you are done filling air in the front.
Anywhere from 15 minutes to 45 minutes the gauge will show 0lb. Is this correct? Or am I losing air in shocks? ( when i go to empty air and press rear it shows i have pressure and when i press front it says 0 ).
Any help would be appreciated.

I would try the soapy water trick to look for leaks. I had to rebuild my pressure gauges, every time I filled the rear, it would leak over to the front and I'd have 15lbs without even filling the front. It seemed to work so far. Now I need to rebuild the rear shock for the fourth time. I kept on filling the shocks wrong and would cause a (oil) leak to start. So I had to remove all the air when I parked and fill up on the next ride. I may rebuild them this weekend, hopefully for the last time.
