Raised Rail chrome for Side Covers

Postby FlashBack » Sat Nov 29, 2014 3:21 pm

Just a quick question. I have chrome raised rails mounted on my side covers. It is a 3 point mount.
Does anyone know where these can be purchased or if they can still be purchased?
I have been doing my diligence but to no avail.
Thank you

I know they can be bought new, I did a quick search and the only place I found selling them was this guy on eBay:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/400578563777?lpid=82

However they do exist, so a little more Googling (I searched for "gl1100 saddlebag rails") will probably turn some up.

So are they side covers or saddlebag lids?

They go on top of the saddlebag lids.

They are for the side covers. The trunk lid ones where easily located.

Ah, you're talking about the bumper. I had one on my GL1100, they were made by Markland, which is no longer in business. To the best of my knowledge they are no longer made by anyone, unfortunately.

Ahhhhh.
FYI, "side covers" are the covers directly under the riders seat, and cover the battery (left) and rear master (right).

Hence my confusion on your request for chrome doo-dads on them, although I believe scuff guards are available for later models (for passenger foot protection).

I was showing the side cover rails as well as the saddle bag lid rails, you might have to zoom in a little to see them clearly. I forgot The bumper was on both bikes as well. Just trying to help....... 8-)
