stator replacement

Do you have any articles and pictures on how to replace a stator on an 82 gl1100?

Pull the engine..take back cover off..remove bolts of the stator..pull

Thanks for the reply. From your answer and reading further I was able to do the tests and soldier the wires. I think I might put on a bigger alternator as I do have a lot of lights and a couple of plug ins. Once again thanks.

There is also a higher output stator that fits where the OEM one is...I see it on ebay often it's blue
