I use Gates belts. If you need the number for them, I'll look it up and post it. I bought my belts from RockAuto.com ... As far as tensioners, if they spin freely without making any noise, they're probably just fine. Finding new ones can be hard, as they're getting rare. There are some folks who have rebuilt them, and although I haven't tried it I have instructions in a .pdf document I can email to you if you want it. You need a few machine tools and a little skill, but it isn't too hard and the bearings are fairly common.
I am wrong as often as I am right concerning what is wrong with someone else' motorcycle without having seen the machine in person. Guessing with limited information, as to the source of the trouble, is sketchy at best.

You can buy Gates or NAPA belts (Gates actually makes NAPA belts), or the Honda belts which will cost you 2-3 times as much.

Amazon sells the correct belt: Gates T274 Belt for $16 (you need two).

Mine was a kit with belt and tensioner. I'll hunt for the number.

My wife is the greatest - she won't let me sell my bike - I'm less grumpy when I ride...
