Randakks Leftovers

Postby zvacman » Sat Jun 12, 2010 9:36 am

After rebuilding the carbs I only had 3 pieces leftover from the Randakks Master Kit, they are pictured below. Anyone know what they are and if my 82 Interstate even used them? I know I didn't run across them during the rebuild.

Thanks, Z

Thanks, mine isn't leaking so I think I'll save them for later. Howards book doesn't make mention of them at all. Overall I was impressed with the kit but not so much with the book. To do it over again I would not buy the book, I did 99% of the rebuild without even looking at the book.

Thanks, Z

I had a 75 that I did with the Randakk kit. I didnt think the video or book was necessary.Nothing against this site but ,there are so many tutorials for guys to read, especially on NGW.com.Now im getting my "new" 82 Aspencade running again.Had the carbs off twice now,its a little tighter in there with the fairing and all the engine guards on there, compared to the 75 !

Leave the #1 & #3 air pistons and covers off until after the carbs are back in position.

The rivets have to be drilled out of the petcock in order to install that rebuild kit, so if it's not leaking, I wouldn't bother touching it for now.
