Goldwing 81, 82 & 83, do body parts interchange

Postby mlund » Sat Jun 12, 2010 1:38 pm

I have a 1982 Aspencade project bike and was wondering if the trunk stay and other cosmetic parts interchange within these years. Any input would be helpfull.
Thanks,
Michael

I'm pretty sure most, if not all, of the body parts are interchangeable. There will be minor differences for things like the 83 Aspy had the compressor in the fairing instead of the false tank, etc. The best way to find out for sure is to check the Honda parts manual, and see the part numbers listed. If it shows different part numbers for different years, then there is likely a reason why they changed it. Not to say it won't fit - just a warning that there may be something different.

You're absolutely right. It was 1984 when the compressor was moved to the fairing, not 1983.
