Lubricating the throttle
I just bought a VTX 1800 and the throttle is easy and smooth compared to my GL1100. How do you lube the throttle to make it smoother?

Personally, I use a cable lubricator like this one: http://www.amazon.com/Universal-Motorcy ... ingdocs-20red dog wrote:I just bought a VTX 1800 and the throttle is easy and smooth compared to my GL1100. How do you lube the throttle to make it smoother?
You clamp it on the end of the cable, insert the straw of your lubricant (I use graphite) and spray until it comes out the other end of the cable.
That said, your cables may just need to be replaced: How to replace your throttle cables

I just replaced the throttle cable...not the return. Thanks for the advice.
