Rebuild on a 83 Aspey

Postby Chuck » Mon Feb 02, 2015 4:13 pm

Little over a year ago I decided to revamp my old 150,000 Aspey into a marvel of old technology. New (old) motor, rebuild the upper end, complete rewire, new custom paint on the plastic, and complete powercoating of the chrome pieces - all of them. I chose a Flag blue for the plastic, Candy Apple Red for the chrome, and white pinstriping for the accents. With complete new leather, this project has been in the works for over a year. Now we are reassembling it. Here are some pic's. Note: The emblems are from my unit in the USAF, the USAF Survival School, (SERE) Instructors (Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape).

This bike was used almost exclusively for Patriot Guard Missions over the last 7 years. It will is a labor of love.

Paint job is most impressive.... :D I feel though and please don't get upset but, that photo doesn't do the bike justice, I really would like a better photo in more light so we can see that blue better,,I know I'm greedy... Please don't take any offense, the photo's of the parts you painted are great but the one of the bike is so dark.. thanks man..... :D Oh and thank you for serving our Nation...
