do you want to replace your current mirrors with the stock Hondaline fairing mirrors? personally I've never seen those types of mirrors that you have on your bike now. to remove the mirror from the stock mounting bracket is a nightmare because it is spring loaded. I know because I have had to do it to tighten the mirror up to stop it from moving around while I was riding. sometimes from all the movement the fairing takes they have a tendency to loosen itself.

if you go onto eBay, type into the searchbox..........82 Goldwing emgo fairing mirrors, it will bring up a page with emgo mirrors that will fit your wing's fairing. I doubt if you'll find the same ones like you have on your bike now.

well, I found that if when your sitting on the seat, move the mirror out just far enough to see the end of your brake or clutch levers. if that don't help then you need to get the adhesive backed mini blind spot mirrors like I have on mine. stick them to the outside bottom corner of the mirrors. that way you'll be able to see what's in your blind spot.

Does anyone know if the bottom mounting piece on an Honda replacement mirror can be separated by un screwing the tension spring, then could replace with a 10mm long stem mirror, see pic
Thanks

yes, the upper part of the mirror can be separated by removing the screw and the spring that holds them together. but you'll have a wide hole in the mounting bracket. the only way I could see you doing that is if you putting a washer and another nut UNDER the mounting bracket and tightened it up against the stem from underneath before you mount it onto the fairing.

Thanks for responding, I'm assuming that's what previous owner did, if you seen pic. I may try that route

I had to do that to one of my stock mirrors once. it kept moving around never staying where I had set it, so I took it off the fairing and tightened up the spring screw and put it back on. never moved again until I moved it. personally, I've never seen a stem mirror on a Honda fairing before so im not sure if it will work, but for all intent and purposes, it should if its done right.
