Postby chargincharlie » Wed Mar 18, 2015 1:55 pm

i just finished swapping out engines on my 82 gl100i on the 3 yellow wires from the alernator the plug end was cut off so when i replaced engine the yellow wires on the engine had the plug end cut off also and on the frame so what yellow wire goes to what yellow wire does it matter most wires are color coated so you cant mix them up i am assuming being all yellow it does not matter i hope but every time i run the bike around the block a few times and shut her off she dont want to start for a while ANY SUGGESTIONS ? im trying to fulkly charge battery now and see what happens i dont want to go far a ride far away and the wing get stuck to damn heavy to push

Correct, any yellow goes to any yellow.

Keep in mind that starting the bike takes power out of the battery. It takes time to charge it back up, particularly if the battery is low. If the bike is idling, it is actually drawing power FROM the battery, not charging it. It takes some riding with the RPM up above 2500 RPM to charge the battery back. Starting it up and riding around the block a couple times is very likely drawing down the battery, not charging it up.
