Spark Plug Wires and Caps

Postby WarrenGee2123 » Sun Mar 22, 2015 11:45 am

I just bought an 83' Goldwing GL1100I as my first bike, and I am changing the spark plugs, wires, and caps. What type of wires and caps should I use for it? Is there a specific kind?

Are the caps really that bad? On my four-cylinder wings, I've always removed the resistor and replaced it with a 10ga solid wire length. The resistors aren't really necessary if you're using the standard plugs with an "R" suffix. I've just replaced the old wires and continued to use them for years. They were always salvageable. If the plastic surface or the rubber fittings were that bad though I could see just replacing them.

Yeah the wire and caps are pretty shot, so were the plugs. I already got new plugs. I just cant find out what type of wires I would be needing.
