starter Solenoid or what ever you call it

Hi,
Need Help can u just buy a starter solenoid at napa or other parts store? GL1100 Aspencade

Sure.. There are a couple of conciderations ...
1..the replacement should be able to fit in the available space.
2..it must have 2 wires to operate the coil/solenoid.They will attach to the small wires on the OEM solenoid.
..some solenoids have only one terminal to activate it and use the case as the ground...this will not work.
3...The 2 big red wires that plug into the OEM solenoid must be bonded together and a heavy duty waterproof fuse holder with a 30 amp fuse and must make connection to the positive battery cable.
Do not use a 30 amp mini fuse...in this case bigger is better and all wire connections should be soldered...crimp connections are usually not the best or last.
