Idle screw adjuster

Postby littlebeaver » Tue Mar 31, 2015 1:55 am

I make things easy on myself because that's what I do.. My Kawasaki has it so why not incorporate one to my Honda 1100... I just like the idea that I have control of something from my seat...Many will think this gadget is unnecessary, but not me.. Sometimes you want to raise your idle or lower it, now I just twist a knob.... Or you can run for the screwdriver if you want. .
I just got a 3/8" wooden dowel and put a piece of rubber tube that fits over the head of the idle screw/dowel and you got it, I put a larger dowel (3/4") for a knob just for testing, I am sampling it right now.....
It works great man, I can make a nicer one later with a real nice knob...I like it, fits right under the fuel hose perfectly.... :D How many times did you wish you could tweek the bike from the seat...? I'll shorten it later probably.. Make it unseen..1500 has one, will it fit the 1100?

Well I'll be damn... My bike has always been a stone cold kinda bike, my thought was to turn the idle up this morning and start her up using the choke, fires right up as usual, but but, with the idle set high I just pushed the choke in and the idle holds the rpm up, you can hear the bike warming up as the rpm's increase, after about 2 minutes I started reducing the idle,,, Boy I already love this gadget...I now have total control of my engine... Beavers happy...Sure you can use the choke knob but.... :D
