You have 4 wires to connect, right?
2 of them are big Red wires .Use your volt meter or test probe.2 of the 4 lugs should have volts on them.Connect the red ones there. It doesn't matter which way. There bonded together. The smaller 2 wires connect to the 2 left over.Same way.Either direction. They make it click.

Ok
Its got me beat,
i found the red wires go on the 2 lugs next to the fuse,( i did notice with the key on light cluster neutral, high bean etc is on even with just the one solid red wire) so hooked up the other red/white next to it and the other 2 wires on the bottom lugs press starter button nothing! with the old one got clicking noise. Also i notice that i am getting loud click from the turn signal housing unit turn signals high beam etc when i turn power on i think because i have saddlebags off and rear signals disconnected or its something else lol. Bike as been great for last 5 yrs no problems.
This winter developed carb leak fixed that turned out to be loose hose bike would start until about a week ago now just clicking i did sit on it and rock it in gear and it turned over since then won't even do that after rocking it.
also this is my meter which is like Greek to me lol AS I SAID WHEN IT COMES TO ELECTRICAL I AM DUMB AS A BRICK.

You are not dumb, just haven't used these tools before is all.. Once you know how it makes more sense, I pretend to be a dumb bell when it comes to electrical stuff but actually I am brite as any light   When I'm not blowin my ass up... ...Well, I did have to ask for electrical help that even Admin. had a tough time with on his bike (over charging) 15 volts  ,,Virgil and him helped me out....I kept my notes for when I put in my Solenoid and connected the wires....Perhaps this will help the next guy...

I think its my starter that's shot. I used my truck's battery to test starter..positive to starter stud, negative to bike frame/engine..touch just for a second to see if starter spins..left bike in neutral!! key off stop run off too. If it spins Well it DIDN'T spin.
